Payment Links
How Triply payment links work, how they differ from checkout links, the link types available, and how to create, share, and close them against a trip.
Payment links are more structured than checkout links: they're tied to a specific trip, carry the client's details, and are categorised by product type.
What is a payment link and how is it different from a checkout link?
A payment link is tied to a specific trip or conversation, carries the client's details, and is categorised by the type of product or service. Use a payment link when the payment is part of an active sales conversation and you want it linked to the trip record. Use a checkout link when you just need to collect money quickly with no trip attached.
What link types are available?
You can classify a payment link as: Listing (hotel/property payments), Experience (activities or excursions), Special Offer (promotional products), Package (bundled travel products), or Payment Page (a standalone link not tied to a specific product).
How do I create a payment link?
Open the Payment Links section and choose to create a new link. Enter the client's details, amount and currency, a description of what the payment is for, and the link type. It's generated immediately and ready to share.
Can I create a payment link on behalf of a specific trip?
Yes. You can associate the link with an existing trip so your payment records stay organised against the right booking.
The customer paid but the link still shows unpaid — what do I do?
Confirmation can take a short time to reflect. If the status hasn't updated after a reasonable period, check the transaction records for that link. If the payment was received but not reflected, contact the support team with the customer's payment confirmation details.
Can I generate a receipt once a customer has paid?
Yes. A receipt PDF is available for any completed payment link transaction. Access it from the payment link record and share the download link with the customer.
Can I close a payment link without deleting it?
Yes. Set it to Closed to prevent further payments while keeping the record, transaction history, and details in your dashboard.
Can I see payment links created by other agents?
Business admins and owners can view all payment links across the business. Agents can view links tied to their own customers and conversations.
Can I resend a payment link to a customer?
The link doesn't expire, so you can copy and reshare it any time from its record. If the link has been closed, create a new one.
Can I update the amount after sending a payment link?
Yes — the agent who created it or a business admin can update the details. If the agreed amount changes, update the link before the customer pays so the correct amount is collected.
What happens to a payment link if the customer's trip is cancelled?
Close the payment link to prevent further payment. If payment was already made, raise a refund or credit through the invoice associated with that trip. Closing the link preserves all records for audit purposes.
